    My favorite interest year round, except for winter, is skateboarding.  During the school week, I look forward to skateboarding on the weekend at my friend's house or Skatelab.  I have skateboard a couple of years ago but then got out of it.  Now that all of my friends skateboard, I got into it again about a year ago and have improved ever since.  At Skatelab, I used to be able to ride and admire the kids doing amazing tricks.  With the encouragement of my friends, a couple of visits to Skatelab, and a few baby attempts, they made me drop in to a tiny quarterpipe.  Although thinking that was scary, I am now doing eight foot bowls.  Also, I attempted another crazy stunt with the help from Skatelab's inctructors.  Steve, Skatelab's instructor, taught he how to go down a thirteen foot roll-in.  As a result, skateboarding is one of my favorite interests.

    Come winter, skateboarding gets old and it's time for something new.  With winter comes snow, and with snow comes...SNOWBOARDING!  Snowboarding is my favorite interest during the winter because it's pretty much the only fun thing to do.  Usually, day trips are taken to Mt. High.  However, Mt. High is nothing compared to Mammoth.  Mammoth is for week trips with my friends and family.  The snow is amazing and the mountain is gagantic.  This year alone, Mammoth already has fifty-nine inches of snow.  That's an incredible amount for October.  Hopefully the snow will stay great and this season will be a blast.
