NEW SPECIES PAGE

A new species was discovered last Saturday while on a trip to the Rocky Mountains.  Thought before as a myth, the Leopawk has been found to be a real species.  From what scientist, Coby C., can tell, the Leopawk is a cross between the Cooper’s hawk (Latin name: Accipiter cooperii), and the Leopard (Latin name: Pantherinae Panthera pardus).  The Latin name for the Leopawk has become Pantherinae cooperii.  The Leopawk stays in North America year round.  Like the Cooper’s hawk, the Leopawk can fly, and to kill its prey, it may hold it underwater or hold it in its claws until it dies.  The characteristics it has like the leopard are quite few, but there are some.  The communication, scratch marks, and growling, is the same and so is the speed.  Although, there is little known about this amazing creature, we hope that in the next few years, we will be able to find out what else this fascinating creature can accomplish.
